The True Story of the Perons

As our performance progresses, the audience is shown actual photos of the story of Eva and Juan Peron. Mrs. Tutterow spent many hours researching archival material and securing rights to historical images. She has a PowerPoint slide show that enhances certain musical numbers sporadically throughout the show. Here she calls up an official portrait of Juan Peron in his dress uniform. The slide show is run from a laptop and can be seen on the 16 foot wide screen hung outside the proscenium arch.

Freshman J.R., seen at the right, is the one who operates the PowerPoint program during the show. He will run all his cues by himself, so he will not be on headset with the stage manager during the performance. This photo gives a good indication of where the screen hangs in relation to the stage platforms. (Click to enlarge).

At one point in the show, we synchronize actual photos of the cast with the action happening on stage. The followspots highlight certain members of the chorus as their close-ups are displayed on the screen. This effect will take precise timing on the part of the technical crew! These are the images.
