Use Projection!

Our Stagecraft class hung a giant movie screen from the stage-left followspot tower using steel cables. The screen will show public domain newsreel footage of the real Eva Peron at various times in the musical. Here, the screen is attached to the catwalk and is about to be unfurled.

The projection screen is 16 feet wide. The projector is 50 feet away on the lip of the balcony. Whenever projections are not used, I will splash the screen with some very dim and subtle gobo patterns.
